Honoring David Gibbons
Honoring David Gibbons

On 09/25/2025, RVCAC and Board of Directors hosted an event to honor David Gibbons, who was a pillar in the founding of the River Valley CAC and has made a major impact on our community, child abuse cases, and more. Our deepest condolences go out towards his family and all who worked with David and we are so grateful for everyone who showed up to honor him. A plaque honoring David was presented that will go up in the main entrance at RVCAC.
"As a result of his knowledge base and leadership, David Gibbons committed to making the 5th Judicial District and the communities therin better places for the most vulnerable population, our children. In 2017, David brought law enforcement and others together as he spearheaded the development and incorporation of the River Valley Child Advocacy Center. David success in creating a safe place for children to share their trauma has led and will lead to countless children achieving healthy lives in adulthood. Although his legacy extends well beyond his contributions to the RVCAC, on this day, September 25th, 2025, The RVCAC Board of Directors honor and memorialize David Gibbons for his vision and commitment to protect abused children."
